Spectrum Training Course
Registration is open for the spring 2013 session of the Spectrum Management Boot Camp, a one-day training course to be held May 13th in Arlington, Virginia, USA. This fast-paced course provides a thorough introduction to fundamental spectrum management methodologies, as well as an overview of current technical and policy issues. Topics include: Introduction to radio spectrum, spectrum regulation in the U.S., federal/military aspects of spectrum regulation, satellite coordination, international coordination, and the ITU.
It is organized an taught by the Radio Spectrum Institute, a cooperative venture of 6 experienced spectrum managers with national and international experience in FCC, NTIA, and the private sector.
The course is ideal for those new to spectrum management, and for experienced spectrum managers who wish to delve further into the workings of U.S. and international frequency regulatory bodies.

The two-day Spectrum Management Boot Camp combines seven Radio Spectrum Institute classes into a complete practical introduction to international and U.S. spectrum management. Important technical considerations are simplified and explained.
Spectrum Management Boot Camp is targeted at professionals who must quickly come up to speed on the diverse requirements of modern spectrum management, or current wireless professionals who desire a broader understanding of the radio spectrum management landscape.
Compared to the one-day Boot Camp, the two-day Boot Camp delves into more details in each topic area and provides more time for questions and discussion. We recommend the two-day Boot Camp for those whose schedule allows.

Radio Spectrum Institute: A New Source for Spectrum Policy Training
Your blogger has joined forces with four other spectrum policy veterans with experience both inside and outside the key agencies of FCC and NTIA to offer courses on spectrum policy as the Radio Spectrum Institute. The other instructors are Andrew Clegg, Roger LeClair, Nelson Pollack, and Leslie A. Taylor.
